I was on a leave of absence from my work for mental health for the last 4 months and have only been back for a few weeks.
Today was payday and while I wasn't expecting the usual payday amount, I figured it would still be decent considering I had 55 hours on my time card.
Imagine my surprise and confusion when I saw I was only given about $200.
So I figure it's a mistake of some kind and call my company's payroll folks.
While I was getting a paycheck while on leave, my health insurance wasn't being deducted apparently. So now they decided, without any warning or notice, that they would just take what I owed all at once at my next paycheck, leaving me with the aforementioned $200.
Luckily my wife works as well so we aren't totally fucked, but I'm still pissed that I was never given a heads up or even given an alternate option to pay back what I owed.
I hate it here.
