Open discrimination- disabled and told that I won’t be hired because I would probably need more time off than the average person.

There are all these laws to protect people from discrimination, but now twice I have been told by the potential employer that I would probably take more time off than the average person, so they don't want me for this reason. Being ill and disabled is hard enough, but it's worse knowing that I'm unwanted in the workplace because of something that is not in my control.
