Hello favorite thread. A couple months ago I posted on here about quitting my job and being super happy in life. I wound up being chicken shit and deleting it in fear of getting in some kind of legal trouble, as I didn’t edit names or locations lol.
I became a stay at home dad and randomly ran across an ad about a space for rent. My wife and I had talked about opening a beer growler filling spot with a little bar top in it. Something simple. Well, in my neck of the Midwest it’s a shitload of money to get a wine and beer license. Even more so a liquor license. So we kinda scrapped the idea.
Then we got a return phone call from that ad. Talked to a group of individuals about an idea my wife and I had for a full liquor bar and they were all about it. They’re going to let us open up a venue utilizing their license. There would be no way in hell the two of us would have been able to start this without this opportunity.
So after years of talking shit about garbage fuck head managers, it’s time to put up or shut up I guess. I’ll see if I can really do as good as I’ve told my last two employers I would do and then shove it right in their cake holes.
Don’t know if this is really meant for ‘anti-work’ but I love this community and quit my last job after reading stories here

Edit: All legal matters have been looked into extensively and I do have a professional helping with them. I thank you for the concern. Also, HELL YEAH I’m gonna treat my employees with the utmost respect. Happy workers = Happy workplace. I’ve been stomped on enough to never do it to someone whose making my establishment run. Fuck shitty owners/managers
