I was just reading about the alleged raise congress gave themselves. Curiously, I stumbled upon something equally interesting. According to Politifact:
“Members of Congress have earned an annual salary of $174,000 since the last pay increase in 2009, according to the Congressional Research Service.”
That amounts to 14,500$ a month (untaxed), 3,625$ a week, or 90.63$ an hour.
It is no wonder why they haven't seen an actual raise in over 10 years. They're already making bank!
Meanwhile, the federal minimum wage still starts at 7.25$. The same people WE voted into office act like they can't be bothered to reduce poverty wages.
This should p*** everyone tf off.
