Got “hired” by a security company and they told me it may take a week or two for all my background stuff to pull through. Mind you, we're in 2022 and they are still doing manual fingerprint cards when there's machines that do it way faster.
It's now 9/7, it's been almost 3 weeks and it's all still pending. I wanted to hang on for dear life considering I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, but I can go up the street on Monday and get a quality control job that pays the same.
Needless to say, I understand background checks, but if you're sooooooo desperate, you should probably switch to electronic format.
