Overheard a woman at the nail salon say that quarantining due to COVID exposure or leave from contracting COVID will now require vacation days to be used.

This has to be illegal, right? Vacation time? And what happens if you use all your time up and get COVID or get exposed? Are you supposed to just come in and risk infecting everyone? The variants still pose a threat. I’m just baffled at the audacity of these pigs. EDIT: this is in Texas, USA.
