I have worked for a Pennsylvania college for years and only within the last year found the antiwork subreddit, after reading so many posts about issues with collecting wages and overtime I am starting to wonder if what the college I work for, if what they are doing is legal.
When I was an adjunct professor I wouldn't get my first pay check until six weeks into the semester.
As a full time instructor now any “overload pay” (for teaching beyond the required amount of credits) doesn't get disbursed until we are over three months into the semester. They are in financial trouble due to the pandemic and I think they are holding this pay back so that they can make interest on our overload pay for as long as they can before disbursing it. Is this legal?
