Working in a office where 48hr weeks (Mon-thurs 10hr, Friday 8hrs) is standard, is getting ridiculous.
It has been brought up numerous times by myself and other coworkers that we are burnt out and tired of the overtime that they kept sayin we would get a break from….it’s been over a year, non stop.
When brought up to upper management all they can say is “we’re working on it” 🤔 the hell is there to work on?
Yes we are understaffed and not a very large company at that (drafting and design form telecommunication through contracts) and we can’t keep people passed training or in general.
And they wonder why so many quit, but refuse to acknowledge we are getting overworked when 40hrs should be more than enough of our time stolen.
Now I have played nice up to this point being polite and going through the proper paths to voice my thoughts on the overtime, however it’s getting to the point of where I’m not wanting to play nice anymore.
I do like this job compared to previous ones, but I’m fed up and burnt the fuck out.
It’s been over a week with no response on overtime, so today I’m highly considering just leaving in 8hrs and expect to be fired by the end of week because I’m fucking done.
