I just got back from vacation come into the office and found a document on the scanner that had my notary stamp and forged signature. Dated while I was on vacation. Oh and for a subsidiary company that I do not actually work for, but the owner of my company owns as well. Finding the document on the scanner was my first notification this had been done.
It is something I would have notarized no problem had I been in the office.
Now i got the notary solely for this job and it was paid for by the company, but it is my stamp and my responsibility for use. I am the notary, not the company and when i leave the stamp and authority is still mine. This is completely unacceptable to use without my permission or consent.
I like my job solely because it is easy. Very small company with just me and owner in the office. I get decent salary and I honestly work about 20 hours total. Its a cake job but the boss is an asshole, however he isnt in the office often. I have let some stuff slide, like comments that are never appropriate for work, but i barely see my boss and if that was it then oh well. He is a cranky old man with shit world view. Now I am fuming and unsure what my next steps are or should be.
Looking for a new position has already begun but i am afraid of reporting or anything else before finding a new gig lined up.
Thoughts and advice?
Know of any good remote gigs?
