Idk if this belongs here, but fuck them. I called on Saturday (March 5) to switch the internet from my name to my girlfriend’s name. She is foreign and I’m hoping it can help get her some credit built up or something. The guy said to change the name, we have to go to a store. OR he said “To avoid that, I can just close your account and open one for her. She’ll get new customer pricing and you will save $15 a month.” I said okay cuz why wouldn’t I want to save $15 per month? He then said “I can schedule your disconnect for Tuesday (March 8). We can’t get new equipment to you until the 8th. If I disconnect the internet today, you won’t have internet until the new equipment arrives.” So again I say okay. I have started a business, it is going great, and things are better than my old environment, but there are hundreds of reasons why this won't work for everyone. Humans where not designed to sit in cubicals for 8 hours staring at tiny monitors and entering in data into spreadsheets. Its sad that we have spent thousands of years developing as a species and this is the best we can come up with.
