So my accountant bf is being paid $58,000 at his current job, he decided to look at indeed out of curiosity and he found a job offering $98,000 for his experience.

My bf is an underpaid accountant (usually accountants make at least $70,000 in our area) who works at a business with extremely racist coworkers and he didn't think about looking for a new job because he's been building his way up to be CEO since that business's CEO is all about him, but his curiosity to see how other jobs in the local area pay compared to his job and why he keeps getting emails from businesses on indeed has pushed him to actually look at new jobs. He applied to a new business with a high pay and he got contacted back. I joked and said “watch, I bet those coworkers are racist too” and he said that if they are he'd lose his mind. Everyone out there, please don't let yourself be underpaid, a specific salary can only last so long, but times change, prices go up and…

I need help deciding between my current fantastic company, or a slightly higher paying good company.

My apologies, this is a throwaway account. Main account is 8 years old, just don't want to be found out. TL;DR: Do I leave my great job with extremely good perks for a higher paying job at still a good company, but overall less work/life balance and job satisfaction. Here's the situation: I got a job straight out of college working for a small company in the career field I wanted. Honestly a miracle as I graduated in 2020… I get paid well, probably above average for my experience level actually, and the company is fantastic. I really like nearly every coworker, I get a 10% 401k match (huge!), 3 weeks of vacation (negotiated this in last year's raise), health insurance premiums fully paid for, free snacks and coffee all day long with a huge selection, and free lunch usually at least once per week, but often multiple times per…

tired of part time work

i'm looking to minimize input(work) with the maximum output(money). I have a disability, receive a small sum each month and want to pursue my education, which I am. But i notice most part time work places have this air of negativity to it, example: i was practically scolded by a cashier(in charge of orientation) For not disclosing my disability during my initial interview. She is ignorant of the disability act, obviously. Secondly i'm expected to report to what appears to be a head cashier? its almost laughable I've worked two days and i already want to look for work elsewhere. obviously many could argue i'm the one with an attitude problem. But in reality i don't rely on support from my parents so i push for my disabilities and needs to be known when i decide! If my coworkers or bosses give me attitude i will only tolerate so much…
