Are we against work or against the condition workers endure? For me it's the second one, me guess is most will agree, if so why's it called anti work and not workers rights?

Wondering if any knowledgeable folks can help steer me in the right direction. So far I have learned that Lenin and Stalin were very committed to the cause.

I recently hired an employee for the first time about a month ago. It's the first time I have ever done that. I want to make sure the working conditions are good. She's the sole employee so the culture is solely dependent on me and I work remote a lot. What types of questions should I ask to get honest feedback as I would want to change anything quickly? I wish I could afford to give her a raise but I can't afford it at the moment as one of my contacts downsized. I hope I don't have to let her go. That's the biggest downside.

State actors love to send their propaganda puppet accounts to places where dissatisfaction with the status quo is high and fan the flames of discord. This is why places like r/WayOfTheBern is littered with Pro Russia stuff right now. The common themes to watch out for: Sensationalization, over-villainization, and pitting allies against each other. Mods, if you see this, can you please create a user account age limit? I just saw a really popular post that reeks of being a propaganda account that was created on February 28th.

With all the miserable places to work out there, I thought you guys might enjoy a story of what it can be like to work in a pleasant atmosphere. My department decided, on the spur of the moment, to eat lunch together in the conference room and play bingo. The powerball drawing is coming up, and they were using the bingo balls (from the Christmas party) to choose lottery numbers. We're going to pool some cash and buy tickets. It was decided the bingo loser got to be the one to go purchase the lottery tickets. A good time was had by all. 🙂

Struggling against the urge to just walk out in the middle of my shift. I am empty inside. If this is all life is then I would rather be dead. How do you guys make it through your day doing the same things over and over again?

Titles says it all. I’ve been working sales in this shitty, mind numbing environment for some quite time. I recently had a the opportunity to escape this personal hell of unaffordable basic living necessities, debt & constant financial stress via an interview with a great company that has a significantly higher base pay than where I am currently PLUS commissions on top of that. I let one curse slip out during the zoom interview and today the recruiter calls me and tells me I am no longer in the running for the position. One slip up and people can straight up deny you from a livable wage. This money based existence is so damn exhausting. Fuck all the people on here bitching about making $100K+ simply for the fact that you guys get to live comfortably. Lots of us would kill to have what you do.
