In 2019, we took over our friend's lease for a 1 bed 1 bath apartment. We got into a lease agreement where management couldn't legally raise our rent as long as we are the current occupying tenants. Our rent was 1250/month. We got a 60-day notice on our door the other day saying management is terminating our lease, and now we have a small window of time to find a new place to live, unfortunately we are going to have to downsize yet pay 300 to $500 more a month. Our apartment is 780 sq ft. Other 1 bedroom units are 650 SQ ft and START around 1700. I'm fucking pissed and devastated. How has the working class allowed these greedy housing corporations to do this to us?
Well I'm sitting here typing about yesterday, (got payday statements) when the company I agreed to work for because they paid more than my past company informed me that I'm not getting paid what I was told. Its less than my previous job and more work. They also said they don't pay that amount to people in the position they offered me and to top it all off the schedule I'm working was not the schedule I agreed to. Then the icing on the cake is I was sent a job offer email (yesterday) showing a different amount than I was told via zoom interview. And the HR person who contact me acted like everything was my fault so due to the multiple issues…they don't know yet but Friday is my last day. I am so done with corporate BS.
