Right now my resume is incredibly honest, from something easily verifiable like my degree and GPA down to unverifiable stuff like what I did exactly on my previous jobs. There are some ambiguous and exaggerated wording (like “coordinated”, “succeeded in” etc) It’s not a “bad” resume by any means, but it’s not particularly glistening. I’m noticing that during interviews I haven’t had anyone try to verify anything on my resume, but getting interviews in the first place is what is challenging. Should I just start lying on my resume? Nothing as big as making stuff out of thin air, but I’m thinking I could highlight some aspects of what I did disproportionately and give myself better sounding job titles when there are no official titles given. Is this common or is it a bit too far?
Where do I look??
Hi everybody, I’m trying to figure out where I can find legitimate work from home jobs. Everything I’ve been getting from indeed which is what I’ve use to find remote work for the last ten years is coming back with horrible fake jobs. I have been searching for something decent that is remote for a year now and haven’t had luck. I have over ten years in customer service with a gorgeous resume and just want to find a decent career that won’t suck the life out of me. Any tips would be great. Thanks!
Do you consider that a vacation?
Hi everyone, I have project goals that are more or less stretched over periods of at least 3 to 6 months. They are formulated very ambitious and are generally hard to reach. The problem is, that there is literally no one except me who is doing this specific work. When I leave for a week or two for vacation, I have to do extra hours the weeks before vacation and once I return, I have to go full burnout mode and work day and night to catch up with work and emails. At this point I dont even want to go on vacation anymore. I also dont see a solution…
Hello Reddit! Here's my story and why I think I'm now anti-work. It all starts at the end of April 2021, being in the tourism sector and living in Marrakech, I have been unemployed for a while (hello crisis). Through friends I meet a couple of celebrities who are looking for a person capable of managing their investment projects in Marrakech precisely. He is in the world of football, she is the little sister of a well-known French comedian. Her name's Nawal Debbouzze and his is Fouad Ben Kouider. First interview it feels off, they are several of minutes late, their projects don't seem so great to me, however on their side they are interested and offer me a second interview. Second appointment, this time they're an hour late, they barely apologize and make me a proposal directly. Salary is not so great, but a lot of promises of evolution…
I am currently working a crappy $10hr security guard job in Nevada. I am overworked and underpaid at my current job and I want to leave security to go work from home. The problem is many of these jobs require lot of experience to complete and the only ones I could find are call center related ones. The others require a bachelor's degree of 3 to 5 years or something like that. Maybe I already got experience that I don't know about or I could learn some skills that might help me. My previous experience includes: being able to type at least 35 to 45 wpm, computer skills, MS office skills. I went to community College for 3 to 5 years to get a history degree but I did not do well so I dropped out. My prior work experiences include: working at my dads retail store operating the cash…
My grandfather passed away last fall during the delta wave of covid. He caught it and was in the hospital about a month, with most of that time being on a ventilator (before anyone asks, he was vaccinated, healthy, and wore a mask, just an unlucky breakthrough infection). It was a rough time for myself and my family. He lived only a few minutes away growing up, so I saw him multiple times a week as a child, sometimes every day of the week. We were very close and I'm tearing up writing this just thinking about him. I didn't see him quite as often after college, but every time I was nearby I would always stop in to spend time. When I called him in the hospital before he was put on the vent, he said to just pray for my grandma because he was more worried about her…

To go or stay
I make about a $100 a day after taxes at work. Today when I woke up I debated if I’d rather have 100 dollars or a pleasant day at home. I think you know which side won.
Should I work at dominos
After I quit my job at Taco Bell the new manager of dominos called me I submitted an application months ago. Should I work there?
