As the media keeps stoking fears about Russia, it bears repeating: don’t fight the rich man’s war!

I have seen a distressing number of left leaning American workers buying into the media narratives around Russia and Ukraine. Don't fall for it! I am not saying that Putin is the good guy or even innocent, but don't forget all the times we have been deliberately lied to and manipulated into pointless, endless wars: The USS Maine, The Tonkin Incident, the Iraqi “WMDs”, Operation Northwoods (which thankfully never came to pass) and The Zimmerman Telegram. I don't know what the “correct” interpretation of the current situation is. But it doesn't matter. If the military industrial complex does decide they want a war, we must reject their excuse, whatever it is. The true conflict is always between the 99% and those who exploit them, not between people who just happen to be different nationalities.

PSA: Companies use influencers to maintain public image. Here’s how to hurt those ad dollars at work.

Corporations spend mega money working w IG and TikTok influencers to sell product and maintain public image. These brands choose these influencers because they know that’s their audience. We have massive opportunity to ask these influencers publicly via comments on their ads why they are supporting companies who are massively underpaying workers. You can find public personas who are doing ad partnerships for these corporations by looking up #[brand]partner. Walmart = #walmartpartner Kroger = #krogerpartner Trust me. I used to work in marketing and if we contribute massive negative sentiment via ads it’ll scare away influencers from working w those brands and it’ll make its way up to the C-Suite. If someone has a sample script we should use, share it below. Maybe something like: This company is a known wage thief, underpaying hundreds of workers. We call on you to stop supporting wage theft and only support companies that…
