Quit an abusive job about a month an a half ago and moved towns aswell.. It seems to be everyone's first question. I've been working for 7 years since I was 14 and just want a break. Just get off my case for bit??
I guess this is the next step
I recently completed my Master’s degree in a field that complements the organization I work for and would allow for growth. It is kind of a niche field so for anonymities sake I will not be mentioning what my degree is in. Before I started my degree, I was told how this field is lacking workers and upon graduation we would all have our pick of the litter. I started connecting with hiring managers within and outside my organization 2 months prior to graduation to see what I need to be ready to step into this field upon graduation. A little back history I have been with this organization for over four years and worked my way up from the bottom. I connected with hiring managers in my desired field with roles that were considered the same level I currently am. After talking with several managers I am told that…
Life is BS
My wife is amazing! She constantly makes me feel like I'm an equal in our life. I was fired from a temp job that I had for 2 years. When I told the company I was working for I was not going to work a third year as a temp they decided not to take up my contract for another year she told me f them you're worth it. She has supported me since. I've been talking care of our apartment (cleaning, laundry, food, ect) She always takes time to appreciate my efforts. Never once has she made me feel less than what I am. I know we're all in this together. Find your real partner! Life is more than the grind. You're worth it, all of us are!
Do not be fooled.
Rules For A Reasonable Future
I think we should flip the script on how the media portrays Millennials and Gen Z. Business owners complaining they can’t afford to pay their employees $15 an hour or more are lazy and entitled. They deserve to close.
