Is there anyway to go about this? I’m here to rant but I haven’t been working there in 1.5 months bc I took on two other jobs and they schedule me for shitty shifts outside of my availability. FYI im based in toronto and i know this is illegal there.
When a customer tried to leave me a big tip bc she also works as a waitress (at a different restaurant), I told her to keep it because the owners pocket it and she came back with two drinks, one for me and my coworker. Word has been spreading that this company doesn’t treat their staff fairly and now they’re writing 5 star reviews with my initials and even got one of the owners to write a review about their own restaurant.
Also, the owner refuses to schedule me saying that “nobody likes you (name), so i can’t schedule you”. Texted my coworker to confirm and she was so surprised, saying that she never said she hated me, she loves working w/ me and that no one hates me?
So i told my boss that and she gets so mad at me, huffing like a cartoon character saying how she “doesn’t appreciate me going behind her back” when i was just trying to get proof. Since then yeah, i have not been scheduled since and I cant find a copy of a contract but i will definitely report to government.
