i've been working for 2 years and half in the same position in the same company. of course i took many vacations but didn't enjoy that much because of thinking that i'll be back to work after a couple of days. my job deals with a lot of stress, communication and physical activity sometimes. is it normal to feel this way? and if so what am i supposed to do/understand to stop or suppress that feeling?
My job/company sucks
Management sucks. Most of the employees kiss ass so bad it makes me sick.
Morning rant
Does anyone else feel like it's just a wee bit unnatural and bad for you to force yourself out of bed each morning with an obnoxious alarm, drive halfway across town loaded with stimulants so you don't fall asleep and fucking die, work more than half of your natural waking hours (Cause the 8 hour workday doesn't account for driving and getting ready!), and repeat the fucking cycle every day for most of your life until you're so old you can't enjoy anything more exciting than a bran muffin…. all for people that give you literally less than 0.01% of the profit you make them. Fuck new laws trying to patch the problem with a minimum wage hike, I want corporations to guarantee they'll share 60% of profits with all employees equally.

.75 raise. What a joke.
I work for a big box store one you need a membership to shop at. ( Y'all can guess from the two ) at the beginning of the pandemic the company gave us 2.50 an hr extra for for essential worker pay. They took that away at the beginning of last year even with covid still raging on mind you. All while increasing starting pay by more than 2 dollars for new employees (17hr). Top out employees have been expecting a large bump and rightfully so ( rumor was a 3 dollar raise. Top out is 27$ currently) New handbook came out to our more than justified Surpised anger. A .75 raise for us. Nothing but a slap in the face while the company rakes in record profits. With turnover so high they do this?! I no longer feel like this company cares about their employees. If you have a…
Just as a reminder
You owe your company nothing, they owe you everything! Family and friends before work! Limit your overtime, you'll never be equally compensated enough for time lost with loved ones and yourself. Your mental health is more important than the wealth of the company you generate it for.
What is the “record”?
I keep hearing from peers about how they don't just want to quit their jobs they hate, because doing it without a 2 week notice will go on their “record”. What record? Their resumé that they can add only whatever they want on it? I'm pretty sure a previous employer might be able to say they quit without notice when referred (Maine) but a “record”? Is this elementary? Any info on that?
