Boss constantly insinuating things, e.g.
- in a team meeting, shortly after my appointment “oh well don't get many high quality candidates for senior roles so we have to take who we can get”
- in a private convo. Boss bitches about some guy, let's call him X. Me “hey boss so what was annoying you about X, just so I know!”. Boss: well he was a black and white thinker and mean spirited. This felt weirdly directed at me.
- team convo around organising a Christmas party. Weirdly boss starts going on about “people stealing ideas”. Seems very out of place within the wider context of convo. Don't know who this line was for. Lines such us “okay so who wants to take the lead on organising Christmas party? Or you can steal an idea for one!” Like wtf are you on about dude.
The guy is also ignoring most of my emails and cancelled all of our 1-2-1s. I used to moderately like employment but he makes me want to throw in the towel.
