Paycheck to Paycheck

Yesterday I commented on a post in this sub about how someone's parents who are 40+ years of age, and who had been working for 20+ years, had been denied the opportunity to own/buy property due to their age & lack of finance. Out of curiosity, I ask how weren't they able to save up any money to buy/afford a house of their choosing. Everyone else, other than the OP, became super irrate , nasty, and offended on behalf of the OP'S parents because I asked 'How?' they found themselves in such a situation. Now the thing that I found to be really strange is that these people spoke about how so many Americans and people in general live paycheck to paycheck.

What I found to be so weird is that these people spoke on behalf & defended these people in a way that made it seem like they had no personal experience about these issues, struggles, and concerns themselves. If I'm being blunt. It seemed like a lot of these individuals were white & were whiteplaining. And had no actual experience, relation, or relationship with these issues, problems or the demographic it more commonly affects.
But they read about it so…!? And in an attempt to be progressive, woke, and an ally, they attack me because: How dear I ask: How?

As someone who comes from the demographic and who has personal experience with theses issues I felt like I knew enough to know to ask “How?”

Anyway, the question I wanted to ask is: How & Why?

Have you ever found yourself living paycheck to paycheck? How? Why? And what did you do to fix it?

Currently @ work. I explain my experience. And how I arrived to a solution.
