People getting angry at you for calling out for medical reasons sucks.

I had my wisdom teeth out last Friday and my doctor told me not to go back till Wednesday. The pain was horrific yesterday and today, like having molten metal poured in your mouth. So I went back to the dentist and he put this horrible tasting paste in that stopped the pain but also told me not to go back to work till Thursday. I have notes for all of this and while my work didn't say anything nasty over the phone I know they're going to be pissy when I go back. They get all downcast and moody when I have to call out and it's ridiculous. My teeth were rotting in my head, I had to have them pulled. My doctor told me not to go back, I didn't ask or anything. I never call out when I'm not actually sick. But because I don't want to…

The idea that work should be more important than anything is stupid.
