I've been self-employed since the age of 16 and I am now 23. My income was significant at first but as time has gone on competition in my sector has increased tremendously and I've considered finding a job…
I got accepted for a job after an interview, which happened to be my very first, and I didn't turn up on my first day because I simply cannot see myself being happy working 9-5 under somebody else for the foreseeable future.
I feel I must be in a very small minority because the majority of people who are able to work do work (source; see employment numbers).
I'd love to wake up to the thought of being excited to go to work and be a part of society but I don't. I look on job websites and just the way most job listings are written puts me off the idea of working. Employers think they're gods. I don't know how most people wake up and actually turn up to work.
What is motivating people?
