people with no degree and a remote job. How did you land that job?

I've been trying to find a remote job in my area for months and I haven't had any luck and I was wondering what I might be able to do to find one. I have a good amount of work experience having made it from a janitor to the data master for the tool crib at my last factory job but nobody seems to think thats enough! Should I be expanding my range to around the country and if so how? Thanks in advance!
