I work for a major insurance company/bank call center who advertises on TV constantly. I have been wfh for over 3 1/2 years (pre-covid). I had to apply through a lottery system. During covid they sent everyone home. Multiple times over the past 2 years they have attempted to bring ppl back into the office, through volunteers as well as making certain positions hybrid. They are now going to force everyone back to the office at least hybrid, 2-3 days a week. I called it months ago when I said, they are not going to stand for the building across the country to sit empty. After being employed 8 years this doesn’t sit well with me. Wonder if there will be a mass exodus in the coming months? I get a lot of PTO & have trips planned in July, August, Sept but I am hitting the job boards & will hopefully be able to jump ship after that. Also same company gave new employees a $5/hr raise to start but tenured employees like myself 1%.
