Phew, almost missed an offer

I got an email a few weeks back from a person at the same place I'd applied at for a lower position in the same department I'd applied for just weeks earlier. I assumed they promoted and wanted me to fill that vacancy. I ignored it and got one from the the department manager about applying. I replied to that just in case I did need to apply there. I wasn't interested because I'd applied to the same job I do now at their location. That zoom, and on site tour like it was my first day after an easy interview, I figured I had a great chance.

Then I got an email to submit the references in a system they use.

That goes well and I wait, a week passed. No call but I got an email. I admit I didn't understand it, because it was from the same person who contacted me about the other position. I was contacted for zoom and on site by a different person and expected to hear from them.

I politely let the person know I was waiting to hear back from the interview before applying to the lower position. The delay was due to messages or calls not coming through (still don't know about that) but it was actually the interview trying to offer me the same job at their location.

I completely misunderstood, I emailed back that I would call today. I got the auto reply, the office is closed Mar 11!!! So I'll have to wait until Monday to begin negotiating. I have a few questions about benefits and time.

Low end range was about my current. I'd like a bit above the middle to give myself a 20% bump. Any good lines or tips to bump it about $1-$1.50?
