I had a phone interview scheduled today for a corporate retail store (think like Macy's). 15 minutes passed by after the interview time and I decided that they ghosted me. So I went about my day, took a shower, and chilled in bed. An hour later they give me a call. They proceeded to then tell me that I need to work weekends and that all new hires are required to work the Black Friday weekend. Told them I had already made arrangements and they ended the interview.
I am tired of hearing about this “worker shortage” like it isn't caused by unprofessionalism from employers.
