Family owned company, too much family drama brought into the workplace.

Lead employee put in their two weeks. Had a private conversation with what really goes on here and history. Couldn't take anymore of it.
Other associates are also family members so it's difficult to be upfront about issues without gossip.
Empty promises of things being improved. I try to work on a system to help streamline processes and dumb down roles. Present it to execs and they love it.
My boss decided to throw a tantrum and decided they would be taking time away from our department, leaving the executives (part of the family) to oversee things.
8+ people left our small department in less than 3 years.
Was led on to believe I'd be getting a raise with added responsibilities (with our department dwindling down to literally me and another person).
Met with executives yesterday who told me they were working on improving things, and to “be patient with us.” They acknowledged the situation I was being led into and that yes, I would be having added responsibilities.
I've only been here for a month.
