This line caught my attention so I did a little math.
Minimum wage is $7.25/hour
$8,300 @ $7.25/hour is ~1,145 hours or ~22 hours/week/year
This does not include taxes or any other living expenses.
To meet the “about half” income, minimum wage would need to more than double, or “part-time” would mean significantly more than 40 hours.
I don't understand how the author or the editor didn't check their math. It's propaganda, folks.
