So I worked at this one place using a gig app and they asked me if I would like to work for them. It is a small counter place. I said sure but once I return from my trip (I was away for a week) and they said okay but to fill the app on the websige. Well two days ago the lead asked me if I was still interested and I said yes and she sent me the job offer and the background check.
Now is the complicated part.. I have booked gigs on the app with that place until the end of the month. The lead said it is okay, I can complete my work assignment on the app which is until the end of the month and start with as part of their company next month.
I worked today and no mention of I-9 or anything. Only the manager told me I passed the background check and it's up to the lead when to schedule me. I've also noticed they hired a new person who is experienced.
What worries me is, being lied about and declining other employer's interviews over this. It happened before where I was hired and they never scheduled me. What would you do? Any suggestions?
