First time posting and need some feedback on how the interview process has gone so far (sorry if this is too long):
1) Employer emails me a to schedule a video interview for the next morning. I accept. They are a few minutes late for the meeting, nbd. However the owner has completely lost track of time and the other interviewer has to call her on the phone while on video chat to remind her of the interview starting. Owner seems distracted throughout the interview process.
2) The interview goes well, they ask me to send along my references and tell me they'll contact me next week. (At this point further stages of the interview have not been mentioned yet)
3) A week later I receive an email from someone else at the company (who I haven’t met yet) indicating there’s a graphic design assessment I need to complete and to see the attachments but there are no actual attachments in the email.
4) I spend some time trying to figure out how to professionally respond when the initial interviewer (who seems to be the most organized) emails a few hours later to give more context (ie I’m a shortlisted candidate and the next step is an assessment). Still no files attached so I respond to her email and get the assets.
5) I complete the assessment and submit it before it was due, was told they would be in touch next week. It’s now been two weeks since the first interview and am hoping I’ll get a call this week with good news!
6) Instead I get two back-to-back calls at 10 this morning from the owner (I was busy), and a follow up email to jump on a call for a second interview today. No notice, and instead of emailing me first they frantically call me twice? They did acknowledge it was short notice in the email today but not sure what to think.
It seems to be they are pretty disorganized and don’t have good time management that starts at the top. It’s not even for a full time job! It’s for 10-15 hours a week at below median pay for my occupation and experience. What do you guys think?
