pretty sure I got fired. still don’t know

Unused to sell beer at events, for years. Managers told me I'd probably make more money as a supervisor, Soni said sure, looks good to be promoted, and pay would be steady. Over a year, my old job got way better, tips got insane, like 10x. So, obviously I go and ask for my old job back. 5 weeks after the interview, after not getting shifts, they tell me I'm not enthusiastic enough to have my old job back. They told me I was rude for making it all about money, when, let's face it, why do I work. And then sent me home from my current job. I told them I wouldn't interview twice for my old job. I told them I wouldn't interview twice for my old job.
Shifts come out monthly, and I have nothing for September.
And they haven't told me if I'm fired or if I should come for the rest of August.
There are some minor details that suggest I was duped into the initial promotion.

From others perspective I'm at least an average employee, probably above average. I do point out everything that's wrong, not in a bad way, just like, hey wires shouldn't be in water, type way or, hey, this fridge is about to fall on someone

Tldr
Duped into a promotion for higher pay. Old job gets a phenomenal increase in pay
Ask for old job back. Told I'm not enthusiastic and money talk is rude and shouldn't be the first thing to think about in a job
Probably fired, but more likely forced to quit by not being given shifts
