I work from home doing a customer service job. Only been working there a month. Been two paychecks and both have been wrong. Lower pay rate than agreed to.
After the first paycheck I was assured my by manager and the payroll department that it was resolved. Got my paycheck yesterday and it was still wrong.
My manager is off today, Monday is a holiday here in Canada so there is little chance of getting this resolved quickly. So I posted on our internal teams and slack boards asking if anyone had Payroll's number and being snarky explained why I needed it.
Continued on as normal until some higher up told me to log out of the systems and wait for HR to contact me.
He refused to answer my straight up question of “am I fired?” or any of my follow ups.
Little do they know I already filed a complaint with the ESB over the pay rate discrepancy. This now feels retaliatory…
And to top it all off, I just got my most recent call assessment. Perfect score.
