Printed resignation letter or email to finally quit my job today?

Hi all! Quitting my job of 2.5 years today! I’m the only employee at a super small business, and it’s time for me to go. Unfortunately there’s been some BS lately that is only making this all the sweeter (boss using my personal device, being chewed out for it by yours truly, and then blaming me for leaving it out for him to use since I shouldn’t be using my device to do work but I haven’t been provided one; disregard for time off given months in advance and trying to guilt me to adjust the shift before in person; tried to suggest I would be harming the business materially for going to a funeral for a MURDER SUICIDE of two close friends because his wife, the formal owner, just didn’t want to work, etc.) Anyway! Hi all! Quitting my job of 2.5 years today! I’m the only employee at a super small business, and it’s time for me to go. Unfortunately there’s been some BS lately that is only making this all the sweeter (boss using my personal device, being chewed out for it by yours truly, and then blaming me for leaving it out for him to use since I shouldn’t be using my device to do work but I haven’t been provided one; disregard for time off given months in advance and trying to guilt me to adjust the shift before in person; tried to suggest I would be harming the business materially for going to a funeral for a MURDER SUICIDE of two close friends because his wife, the formal owner, just didn’t want to work, etc.)

Anyway! My mom insists that a resignation letter should always be printed and handed in person when you tell them. Not only have we never done anything on print paper, it’s all online, if the difference between the two is an ounce of more respect or whatever then I’m not sure I care? I will be working today so the letter in whatever format will follow a conversation. Thoughts?
