Productivity watchdog software are the worst

I remember how my first job had us watchdogg'd by a software called JobCTRL. It would pop up with a big warning on the screen every time an employee was afk (without any mouse activity) for 10 minutes. After I got my 1st warning from my boss regarding this (“where have you been?” – I was on the shitter lmao), I invested in a 12 buck 'mouse jiggler' which is just a USB that if you plug it into the laptop, mimics a real mouse constantly albeit naturally moving. It enabled me to take way more breaks without any of the BS. Nowadays I have a new job but use it all the time, truly one of the best ways to counter all the BS by these employers.
