I don’t know if I should post this here but I hate my job so much. I tried to quit two months ago and was promised a pay raise in return for staying. I am paid $15.50 an hour and I was promised a dollar raise by my district manager. My current manager said that he was no allowed to promise me that and she won’t give me a raise cause she thinks I don’t deserve it. I learned today that the new hires are starting off at $16 an hour while the rest of us are still making $15.50. Is this illegal? I have plans to quit anyways and I plan on burning bridges on my way out and reporting a bunch of stuff to HR. Should I include this or are they technically not in the wrong about this whole pay thing? I’m in Massachusetts and I’m not too familiar with the laws around here.
