Hey! So I was fired this week after 3+ years of work. I was promoted 6 months ago.
I was praised for my work and leading a team.
I got into an argument with a new supervisor who cried all the time and was so emotional it was wild. Everyone agreed with my valid points but they weren't actually familiar with the facility.
That's when it all went downhill.
No issues for 3 years and promotions the whole time.
2 months after this argument I came in Monday morning and was terminated.
The letter I was given had mutiple events of wild accusations.
Now luckily for me there was at least 10 people for each event who witnessed all of this.
All these people are contacting our union because people are angry I got let go and that these are all lies.
At first I was relieved. This company has been a dumpster fire going down hill for a while. But I enjoyed my job and the people I worked with. As long as you can avoid management everyone's pretty happy.
I'm not the first person they did this too as well. Another fella was gone the week before out of the blue.
Is there any way to deal with this? How can they make up lies with witnesses to fire people?
I've never been fired in my life. Idk how to deal.
Edited to add this has definitely hurt the ego. I've never felt like such a loser
