Both huge corporations I’ve worked for there has been pushes, and sometimes being told, we have to do volunteer work of some type. Now it’s always in work hours, but I still feel this should not be a thing.
One, if I want to volunteer or donate I’ll do it in my own. Two, asking me to make donations when I was making 12/hr like I was with my old company is insulting. Three, I sure as hell am not doing volunteer work so this company can then turn around and scream how great they are.
Screw that shit.
