I work for a record retrieval company in the south and I gave me notice on Friday morning. I get along with most people at my small office so I was letting people know that I would be leaving soon.
I really will miss the people I worked with as they were the best part of where I currently work. I got in trouble with our tiny HR for “telling everyone” that I was leaving. The company apparently wanted to wait until they had all their crap together and had a so-called plan on moving forward. My position has one of the highest turn overs in the company (probably because is not competitive at all), so I don’t understand what the issue was.
I have been given an exit interview packet to complete by this Friday. It makes me nervous trying to complete it because I will still have a week to go after turning it in and while I want to be truthful as possible, I worry about how I will be treated and the response to my answers.
Just venting, but if anyone has advice that would be much appreciated.
