Background: I work in a construction office. I got a job with a supplier that I found out about yesterday.
I told my coworkers first as they were the ones who would be most effected by my leaving. I put in my resignation today to leave on Friday as the new job wants me to start next week.
I was told “It's really shitty.” Is it though?
This is the same company that doesn't tell us anything until the day of, one of the lowest paid one in the industry, and they write you up for the stupidest things (ie not calling a client after checking phones on us).
Am I wrong? Should I have given more notice?
