Put in my resignation, was told the full 2 weeks notice won’t be necessary. Can I still file for unemployment in Illinois?

So, I already got another job lined up. My current employer isn't a sh*tbag so I gave them a generous notice, they at least deserved that. I started some hand off notes to whomever takes my job after me and was told once I am done I will no longer be needed.
