So after I quit a kitchen job I called my old employer. They rehired me on the spot.
Thing is that I plan on leaving the state to go to college elsewhere. I did not tell them that I planned on leaving because I didn’t want them to not hire me for that reason.
I’ve only been working for them again for a few weeks. I’m leaving the 1st of August. It’s a small business and pretty tightly knit so I just feel some guilt leaving so soon after getting rehired.
How do I go about telling them this? Do I need to just rip the bandaid off quick? Feels weird and disrespectful to leave so soon. I’ll have quit their company twice.
Any advice to ease this weird feeling of anxiety and guilt?
