I just found out today that a logistics company bought the tiny company I work for. There’s only about a dozen of us or so. They assured us that we’ll still operate as normal and that the previous owner will still be there as our boss, and also that all our jobs are secure….but imo it’s not over til the fat lady sings.
We all will need to re-interview with the NEW owner, and my boss (the old owner) went out of his way to give me a heads up before everyone else that the company was sold and also gave me an extra day before my interview so that I could “prepare”. What does this mean? Is my job truly secure? I’m a great employee and my boss values me, but is it normal for the new owners to drop me even though they said ALL of our jobs are secure? I’m worried that my boss isn’t confident that I’ll keep my job.
