Question About Using Company Computer for Personal Use w/o Getting Caught

I started a new job working from home full time which I love but during orientation they discussed how against the rules it is for employees to use company supplied equipment for personal use (and told a story of an employee getting hit with a several thousand dollar fine for personal event planning on their work computer). I understand the concerns with viruses and whatnot on my actual computer, but they also supplied a dock very similar to the one I linked above along with two monitors. Is there anyway for them to know if I were to use the dock with my personal laptop for gaming or even personal projects outside of work hours? I know the docs get updates to their firmware and whatnot and I have no idea whether it has any of it's own internet connectivity or memory. Any advice or even if I should be…
