Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. My child works at a Poke bowl places making poke bowls in the state of Texas. She has worked there for two years. She currently makes $11/hr. We just recently found out that her employer has never paid her any of the tips (cash or credit card). When asked, the employer said she doesn't have to pay her those tips because she makes more than minimum wage. I figured no better place to ask than here, as I see conflicting info when I Google. Is this wage theft or is this legal? Thanks everyone in advance and please be kind.
