Not sure if this is the right place for this, but me and my co-workers are facing some issues at work so I thought I'd bring it here.
Basically, I work for a Campaign in Georgia. Originally I was hired to work a 5 day week, for a set salary, with gas benefits. The contract did not mention overtime nor it's exemption but also did not mention working over those 5 days. Around late August, I was told I had to work 6 days instead of the original 5. Now as of late September, I was told in October I will have to work a full 7 days a week until the election. My question is, are political campaign workers exempt from overtime or like a “7th day pay” situation? As my salary hasn't changed from working 5 days to 7 days, I'm essentially getting paid less.
TLDR: Are georgia Campaign workers salaried exempt for overtime?
