After the assault of my manager by our boss, which has resulted in a lawsuit for obvious reasons, I am still employed.
Boss is not physically allowed to come to the workplace while this is ongoing. Other owners are rightfully upset with everything.
I do not have the training to take over. In writing, I made this clear and sent everyone in management a copy of my hiring agreement.
Every day, multiple times a day, I keep getting asked to step up, fill the role, 'figure it out'. Even the boss who assaulted my manager has been texting me with expectations.
But, I don't. I wasn't hired for that. I'm not paid for that. I'm not trained. I don't want training. I don't want to have that role. They refuse to accept this, even after putting it in writing.
Sucks for them.
Obviously I'm looking for a new job. But until then, they can either accept my terms, or fire me. It's that simple. Not my fault upper management literally gave their employee a head injury during a drunk rage.
Management wants to meet next week to 'discuss this'.
