I’m quite sure “quiet quitting” was a term that came from some bullshit artist corporate leader to further manipulate those who take part in the corporate meat grinder – or those who are entering it. It’s a misleading term that infers “going above and beyond” is something that is subliminally expected from employees.
Don’t let these devious “leaders” take your life away from you so that they can gain money and prestige off of your work. Whoever is playing this corporatist game – it’s not worth it.
I’m primarily clocking out right when my shift ends because I’m building my own business on the side. I’m hiring no one and I get 100% of the value I put into it. If you’re young & single, I’d be looking for ways to do the same – instead of running in the rat race.
Just a thought.
