Quietly Quitting? How about Quietly Firing?

So, according to the news if I am doing the job I'm paid for and nothing more, that means I am Quietly Quitting. So, if my employer pays me only my salary and nothing more, without throwing in an extra hundred bucks this week, does that mean he is Quietly Firing me?
