Quit Retail if you can

I am going to start this post by saying I completely understand that many individuals have no choice but to work retail, they need to survive and it may be their only option. If you can leave retail, do so immediately. There is no worse exploitation of workers then in this field. You are underpaid, scheduled at will, can never plan anything, asked to stay late or come in early, admonished if you miss a shift for any reason, deal with irate people on a consistent basis, work hard consistently all shift, have to wear crappy uniforms, held responsible for others mistakes, deal with irate supervisors because their jobs suck, all to line the pockets of the franchise owners and the corporations. If you can leave retail, do so immediately. There is no worse exploitation of workers then in this field. I have met many people who have worked retail and always converse with people working in these environments and have not met a single person, not one, tell me they enjoyed their job. Not ONE.

I get it, you may not have a choice, but if you do get out as fast as you can.
