Just generated my resignation and let HR know. I’m leaving the rat race and taking some time off. I was on a good project for a year then had to roll off. HR said find a new project or get an unpleasant call next time. So I interviewed internally and found new work long term. Boss says that’s not an option and proceeds to place me on short term high stress projects that works weekends. I initially was going to suck it up and push through but life is too short.
I tried for two weeks and realized that was my worst two weeks in a long time. I’m not giving two weeks notice and it feels great. Heck I might not even open my laptop again to read the boss’ response.
